Despite an earthquaking defeat of the All Progressives Congress,APC to the ruling party, People’s Democratic Party,PDP in Oyo State during the recently concluded Gubernatorial Election on Saturday 18th March,2023 with 256,685 polls while PDP had 566,766 votes, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC ,Egbeda Local Government Area on Thursday admitted new members.
The new members tagged ” Egbeda Progressive Vibrant Youths” , populated with youths came in their number for formal membership of the Party at the local government Party Secretariat, Segelu, Adogba Iwo Road, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
While receiving the new members totalled ten (10) , Egbeda APC Leader, Hon. Famurewa Adeboje congratulated the new members for choosing right party at the presumed critical period in Oyo State, noted that the party will welcome their vibrancy and better performances which will help the party re-possess its rulership in the State in the year 2027.
” As a matter of fact, no one in the APC in the country, especially here in Oyo State is happy about mouth watery defeat of our great Party to PDP in the State with 31 of the local government election results in favour of PDP while election results of Olorunsogo and Oriire only favoured our Party in the 2023 Gubernatorial Election. That has gone though!”
” However, we could say to ourselves that the summary of the 2023 General Elections to APC in Oyo State is ratio 60:40 , APC had 40 percent : 3 senators-elect and 9 House of Reps members. That is not a total failure but a mark to work passionately for an outstanding victory in the year 2027″
” Our great party youths remain the pillar and it is a great joy that through our amiable Egbeda Party Chairman, Elder Olawale Oyeleye , we can stir the party the more to a formidable status in Oyo State”, he said.
In his brief remarks, Chairman, All Progressive Congress,APC, Egbeda Local Government , Elder Olawale Olaleye called the new members to make exploits, stressed that the Party has offered them a platform for a smooth operation in Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Oyeleye called the new members to remain focused , confident and united as to steer forward the mission and vision of the party pivoted on progressiveness.
” This is a great joy for me that our party ,despite defeat to Seyi Makinde still attracts new members, especially youths”
” No country, or a society can underestimate impacts of youths. APC has all it takes to empower and forefront you all as long as you give your best. Never look at any circumstance around you, of course, you understand the Party and this brought you here”
“Let me add here that you have all become registered members henceforth, to creatively introduce you to our great leaders at both the state and national before the presence of great members merrily soon”, Olaleye concluded.
Earlier, one of the new members on behalf of new members credited the leadership of the All Progressives Congress,APC in Egbeda ,State and National for receiving them with large hearts and open hands, assured of valiant delivery for the Party.
Kabir called on other youths at Egbeda and Oyo State to wake and join a formidable team in the All progressives Congress, APC.
