A former Deputy Governor and a People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain, Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi has congratulated the newly confirmed Chief Justice in Oyo State, Mrs Iyabo Yerima .
The confirmation of the Chief Judge of the State which held on Wednesday 12th April,2023 at the Oyo State of Assembly as presided over by the deputy speaker, Hon. Muhammed Fadeyi came after a three- month legal satisfactory acting as the State Chief Judge due to the retirement of former CJ, Justice Muktar Abimbola.
Alhaji Gbolarumi urged the new Chief Judge to ensure an uphold of dependable judiciary and processes and as well renew the hope in the judiciary to the common man in the State.
” No doubt, the new chief judge,Mrs Iyabo Yerima is occupying a more sensitive position, now that she has been confirmed as a substantive CJ”
” Yet it is believed, she will use this office to change narrative people have had about the Judiciary in the country, especially by enabling a renewed hope of common man in the State in the judiciary which undoubtedly will rename the State a legal emulating State in the Southwestern region of the country and Nigeria as a whole, therefore , do everything within your ambit for a positive developing State”, he submitted.
Former Deputy Governor, Gbolarumi prayed for wisdom, knowledge and understanding in the discharge of new CJ, Mrs Iyabo Yerima’s legal processes and for a legal emulating State in the country.
