His Excellency, Barr Hazeem Gbolarumi on Saturday congratulated Osun State Governor, His Excellency Sen. Ademola Adeleke saying that the good people of Osun deserve an intelligent man like Ademola Adeleke as their Governor and nothing short of that.

Gbolarumi was reacting to a judgment delivered by the Court of Appeal that upheld Ademola Adeleke as authentic governor of Osun State.

It would be recalled that, the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Friday has set aside the decision of the Osun State Governorship Tribunal and upheld the election of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the governor of the state.

Following the governorship polls in the state, an Election Petition Tribunal had sacked Adeleke from office, saying that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate did not score the majority of lawful votes during the July 16 governorship polls.

However, in a unanimous decision by a three-man panel led by Justice Mohammed Shuaibu, the Court of Appeal quashed the tribunal’s judgement and gave its verdict to uphold Adeleke as the rightful governor of Osun State.

In the message, Gbolarumi said, “I heartily congratulate my friend, brother and my in-law, Governor Ademola Adeleke on a well deserved victory. He is one of the most intelligent and eloquent leaders in Nigeria today; a technocrat that he’s humble, large hearted, friendly, gentle, patriotic, dogged and distinguished. The people of Osun State surely deserve a highly competent man like him as their Governor. Osun people do not deserve anything less. More of it!

“I urge the people of Osun to continue its support for the good man God bestowed on them as a leader that is very determined to selflessly transform Osun State for the benefit of citizens. I also congratulate fellow Party members, PDP, stakeholders and other supporters in the PDP family and indeed all democrats in Nigeria for this victory that toughens our abiding commitment to the recovery and progress of Nigeria for the benefit of all Nigerians” Gbolarumi said.
