Makinde Detests Public Cries, Compensation For Us Is Certain — Ajia Residents

Residents of Ore- Ofe Olorun Estate at Ajia an area of Egbeda Egbeda Local Government in Oyo State have implored the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to approve their compensation as soon as possible.

The Residents whose landed properties were acquired for the Air Force Base at Ajia stated this on Thursday while giving their support to the re-election bid of the governor for second term in office in the area.

The residents noted that the present led Administration in the State detests public cries, credited the state governor for approving a temporary accommodation as pledged when staged a demonstration at the Governor’s office on Thursday 22 December,2022.

In a statement issued to newsmen co- signed by permanent assistant to the Community’s Chairman, Mr . James Femi and secretary, Adelokun Olalekan stressed that the state government has really fulfilled its promise by affording rent relief to the affected residents in the area from last year, with an anticipation for a promised compensation after properties valuation must have been conducted.

Meanwhile, two of the affected residents, Mr Abdulkabir Olorunnisola and Mrs Foluke Akande called on the state government to expedite action over payment of compensations to the affected residents as soon as possible as to enable better stability of their socio-economics in the the area.

” We are pretty grateful for an awesome gesture towards all of us at Ajia especially by siting an Air Force Base which undoubtedly will improve and better networks to this area”

” We therefore urge the governor to pay due compensation to us soonest for more relief”

The residents assured the re-election of the state governor, Seyi Makinde in the Saturday’s 18th Election Gubernatorial Election for a sustainable development.

Recall, the state government commenced payment of compensations to Iwo Road Traders on Wednesday 15th March whose properties are litigation free through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport,led by Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin having evaluated and assessed their acquired properties for two bus terminals at Iwo Road.
