With a view to making their subsequent educational pursuits easier, the former Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Hon. Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke and his daughter, Adejumoke K. Adeleke had facilitated payment of WAEC fees for four students of Faramora Grammar School, Omojoda Area of the ancient town.
The payment which came in form of cheque was presented to the School Principal, Mrs Olanrewaju Fausat Folasade by Adeleke on on Monday, February 20, in the presence of those beneficiaries whose names are Yunus Quadri, Amusat Sefiu, Rasaq Fatai and Rafiu Halimat respectively.
While speaking, The Ex Boss of Iseyin Local Government and Okanlomo of Iseyinland said, the provision of scholarships to those students was jointly funded by his daughter, Adejumoke K. Adeleke who is London Based.
He stressed that, it was an idea conceived by his daughter on how assistance could be provided to those who are in the need and he however submitted that the good idea would kick off at the community level before extension to other places.
Adeleke maintained that, the programme was not politically motivated and it is not in his usual practice to place every of his deeds on political consideration.
He promised that, other places would also benefit from the programme tagged ” Positive Force” shortly after the completion of general elections.
The School Principal, Folasade who could not hide her joy thanked the facilitators for extension of good gestures to students of her school, praying God almighty to assist him and his daughter to be able to render more assistance to humanity.
Comrade Babatunde H.O who is the current Chairman, Faramora Community equally showered encomiums on him and his daughter for their concern and passion to identify with those students at this trying time of theirs.
Mallam Saheed Hamzat, a parent to one of the scholarship’s beneficiaries said, the financial gestures would give encouragement to those students and others in order to face their studies squarely.
Alhaji Badru, PTA Chairman lauded Adeleke for building on philanthropic foundation of his late father whom he described as a man with milk of kindness.
He added that Adeleke has been of help to the school via construction of three (3) blocks of classrooms and huge financial donation for the hall.
The programme which took place at the school hall had in attendance of Hon. Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke, School Principal, Mrs Olanrewaju F.F., PTA Chairman, Mr Badru, Mr Lamidi Shittu, Community Chairman, Comrade Babatunde H.O, School teachers, parents and students respectively.
