We’ll Address The Issues — Oyo Gov’t Promises Poly Ibadan Students

Oyo state government has assured on addressing all issues that triggered a student protest at the office of the state governor, Seyi Makinde on Monday.

Speaking on behalf of the state governor,Commissioner for Education,Barr. Abdulramon Abdulrahim called all leaders of students in protest over an undue increase in hostel fee for all students of the Polytechnic,Ibadan which eventuated boycott of proposed examinations in schedule in the Institution to maintain tranquility and legality.

Abdulrahim added that a circular for issue raised discussion has been forwarded to student leaders in the Institution, management of the Institution and the government for an address on Tuesday at the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, the management of the Polytechnic,Ibadan through its Registrar, Mrs Modupe Teresa Fawale has issued a circular notifying postponement of examinations and suspension of the Students Union in the Institution over an undue lock of the Institution’s gates and boycott of the proposed examinations.
