Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has received a nomination letter of award of Vanguard Man of the Year.
The nomination letter was presented to the governor at the presidential lodge,Government House, Agodi,Ibadan on Friday by the General Manager, Vanguard Newspaper, Mr Gbenga Adefaye, who said the newspaper company nominated the governor for his all round beautiful performance on Health, Education, Economy, Security, and infrastructure thereby make him surpass previous’ political administration in the state.
In his remarks, Governor Seyi Makinde appreciated the news organisation for a formal recognition of his administration with many more to be delivered in his second term re-election.
Makinde while accepting the award which will be made public on 27th January this year at the Eko Hotels and Suites, dedicated the award to the entire people of Oyo State; charged journalists to embrace truth and ethics of journalists in the forthcoming general elections.
