PDP Chieftain’s Dealth: He Died After A Successful Surgery, Didn’t Slump As Claimed — Family Reveals Cause Of Death

Former Caretaker Chairman, OnaAra Local Government, Ex-PDP State Secretary and former Special Assistant to late Governor Adebayo Alao Akala passed on Wednesday after a successful surgery at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The deceased had earlier been reported dead by slumping at a funeral function
of a PDP chieftain’s mother last Saturday.

Adeola Lawal, daughter of the deceased debunked it via a conversation with the publisher, naijatodaynew.com

She said, ” It is worrisome that news reporters reported that my father slumped at a funeral. What a huge shock!

” Really,my father planned to attend a funeral in honour of Hon. Halleluyah who lost his mother but could not owing to the fact that he had an haemorrhagic stroke, diagnosed with at UCH; done with a successful surgery at the Hospital”

Meanwhile, the daughter of the deceased also, a former Oyo state
House of Assembly aspirant, Ona Ara State Constituency, Adeola Lawal Olayiwola cleared the air surrounding the death of her father this evening via a phonecall with the publisher

” My father had on Saturday 10th December this year moved to UCH for treatment; placed at the Intensive care Unit on oxygen, but at the end , passes on after a successful surgery” ,she added.

Adeola stated that the reports by several media on her father’s death was false, as the fact remains that the man died of a haemorrhagic stroke.

The daughter of the deceased,Adeola Lawal who spoke on behalf of the family said chieftain of PDP died at the age of 59, buried today at his residence

” Only God knows the best for man, my father would have clocked 60 next year on February 8th, 2023, but everything is clear to God”

Also gathered that the deceased was a strong leader of PDP in OnaAra Local Government, who worked assiduously to ensure that Engr Seyi Makinde became the current Governor of Oyo State.
