The House of Senate Candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District under the platform of Social Democratic Party(SDP), Rt. Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola has promised to prioritise better living of the constituents if elected.
She made this pledge during the inauguration of the campaign council/official flag off of her campaign activities in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State.
“I am the candidate of SDP for Oyo North Senatorial District for the year 2023 general elections. Beyond merely coming together to inaugurate my campaign council, this is a platform for me to officially flag off the campaign and unveil my plans for the constituents”.
“There are glaring facts that the senatorial district and most especially Okeogun has been marginalised , thereby leading to no major impact in the across the senatorial district”.
At this point, I consider it a clarion call for me to change the narrative from the era of non-performing representatives to one of developmental, result-driven and people-oriented represention.
“I have and will through politics bring about governance with the fear of God, huge positive results, impact and transformational leadership to the good people of Oyo North Senatorial District”.
“I am on a mandate to rescue and rebuild that is why I am asking for votes from you all to eradicate poverty, create wealth, confront bad representation and fight for the right of both the young and old, male and female in my senatorial district”.
“It is time to take back the glory of Oyo North Senatorial District, It is time for recovery! It is time for re-engineering! It is time to build enduring infrastructural legacies. It is time to make huge differences between living and existing that would better enhanced our people”.
Ogbomoso- born politician and former majority leader of the House of Representatives further stated that her intention is to change the leadership style and the narrative in governance in Oyo North Senatorial District.
“I want to ensure good representation, that is my vision for stepping out to contest, as I strongly believe that I have the capacity to sponsor bills that will influence and bring positive changes into the lives of my people. I will not fail the people”.
“I promise to live for them, especially the poor, youths and the downtrodden to life better for them and others.
While speaking, Mr Michael Okunlade, SDP Chairman in Oyo State assured the people of the senatorial district that Mulikat Adeola will alleviate the sufferings of her constituents because of her kind gestures which she had been doing before becoming a politician.
He disclosed that what she has done for the people is more than what she stands to gain in politics, adding that she has done so many things for the people and that this is the reason people called for her representation.
