Makinde stated this after he assented to a bill upgrade of the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo to a degree awarding Institution, held at the Executive Council Chamber, Secretariat, Ibadan to newsmen, asking him reasons behind non-inclusion of the 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate’ s picture on prepared campaign branded vehicles by him as caught around his house at Ikolaba, an area of Ibadan, the Capital of Oyo State.

” Is that the only place you have seen branded cars?

“I have seen branded cars by state House of Assembly Candidate with just pictures of others running for House of Reps in their localities

“Anybody that branded cars with his own money… You see, you can’t force them to put my own picture or someone else’s picture so as to vote for him”, Makinde said.

Speaking further, governor Makinde informed that the aggrieved governors in PDP in Nigeria , code named “G5″ , which includes Nyesom Wike(Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and two others have been presented a reconciliatory documents, ongoing at the moment in the party , nationally, with only readiness to come to a single term, will help to harp on the mind on whether or not to background the parading 2023 Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar”

However, the governor said his ongoing tour across the state revolves around reconciliatory mission to aggrieved PDP members in the state, especially those that are still neutrally in the party

” I believe those that left the party , did so owing to their political ambitions

” Work is ongoing at bringing every party member together ahead of the 2023 General Elections”

” Of course, we are reaching to them , while some are vindicated on dropping their ambitions to join back in the party”, Makinde concluded.

Recall, Seyi Makinde has begun a town party reconciliatory mission since November 27th this year, starting with Oyo, Ogbomosho, and now Saki.
