A 2023 Oyo Central Senatorial district candidate,Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen on the platform of Accord Party said on Sunday that his exit from APC was due to party corruption.
The Oyo-born politician, from Oyo West stated this on Sunday on a private radio station in Ibadan,Fresh FM on a Yoruba political programme “Agbami Oselu” anchors by Alhaji Abolade Salami while fielding questions.
” Let me inform everyone that the party I left for accord has a lot of inadequacies, deception and cheating”
“In 2019, when I contested as a lawmaker. It was at Akinyele, late Ajimobi called us, talked to us and appealed for my step-down all which I still could count honourable then
” I remain then at the Party, but this year I left the party as I was cheated again”, he noted
Faozey described that the APC party being only functional during the leadership of late Abiola Ajimobi, ex- governor of Oyo state which has become a difference in the state.
Faozey noted that he had intention at improving local government areas, led him into politics , with the belief in new party,Accord Party,he could flex his political muscle
” My political career really began in 2015 when I visited Oyo with some colleagues
” Unfortunately, the roads were poor, with inadequate layout, my colleague who was a civil engineer critiqued the roads, told which way to go about building good roads
” Since , I have all it takes, and never to be hindered from the intended, I decided to vie for Senatorial seat which will avail me the opportunity to have my people enjoy the real dividends of democracy
” No need to apply for an approval before doing the needful”, he said
Faozey, an internationally reverred electrical engineer with telecommunication options said all Accord Candidates in Oyo state will clear political seats in the year 2023 owing to credibility and local governance commitment.
