CAN Bestows Humanitarian Award On Oyo Assembly Candidate, OGA

Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Kajola Branch, Oyo State has conferred Humanitarian Award on SDP candidate, Hon. Olugbenga George Adetunji who is jostling for a seat in Oyo State House of Assembly.

CAN Chairman in Kajola Local Government, Reverend J.A. Folaranmi was on Saturday, December 3 presented this award to the recipient at Ebenezer Baptist School, Ogan Okeho, during launching of #20 Million Naira aimed at developing CAN Ecumenical Centre.

Folaranmi said, an award presented to OGA was consequent upon his selfless service to humanity, kindness to all and readiness to exemplify what pure humanity entails.

CAN Chairman charged the Assembly Candidate for Kajola State Constituency not to stop on path of humanitarian service that he is being identified with.

The Award’s recipient, OGA thanked the generality of Christians under the umbrella of CAN for counting him worthy for the honourary and prestigious award.

He stressed that he was happy to be part of the well attended and eventful programme, noting that he would not hesitate to build on measured criteria that earned him the award.

Okeho-born politician however thanked God for making the programme an hitch free one and also prayed for CAN’s attainment of more successes.

The programme had in attendance of many Christian leaders in Kajola who ranged from Reverend J.A. Folaranmi, CAN Chairman in KLG, Reverend I.A. Adekola, CAN Vice Chairman, in KLG, Pastor Sola Adeniji, Chairman, Development Committee and Mr Bamidele S.O, Secretary, Development Committee among others.

Also in attendance were the Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Alhaji(Hon.) Salimonu Afolabi Borikansunwon, Hon. Akeem Mustapha Mugaty, a member of Oyo State House of Assembly and other political dignitaries.

Among the traditional rulers were, The Onjo of Okeholand, HRM Oba Rafiu Mustapha Osuolale, the Elero of Ileroland, HRM Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka, The Sabiganna of Igana, HRM Oba Soliu Oyemomilara Abdulazeez and other traditional rulers.
