Polam as fondly called has succinct profile and numerous legacies which make him the primus inter pare among other candidates who are jostling for same seat at the green chamber of National Assembly.

Polam; an exemplar in positive virtues, renowned personality of note with unalloyed dedication and commitments to both human and societal developments, Prince Olaide Abdulateef Mohammed, popularly regarded as “The Prince of Peace” (as called by friends), was born to a Royal family of Adelabu in Kisi, Irepo Local Government area of Oyo State.

In pursuit of remarkable livelihoods, he acknowledged education as a path to success in life. He had his elementary education in Kisi at Ansaru-Deen Primary School and Secondary Education at Kisi Community Grammar School. He proceeded to Oyo State College of Education in Ila-Orangun for National Certificate in Education (NCE) before he obtained a Bachelor of Science (Physics) in 1990 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science in 1992 both from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

His accomplishment in the Field of Physics channeled his minds towards impacting on the people positively. The correlation between Physics and Computer Science placed him on a very high pedestal amongst his contemporaries and endeared him to prospective employers which paid off with his employment as an Assistant Route Commander into the services of the Federal Road Safety Commission in 1994. His entrance coincided with the radical computer revolution in FRSC. He was commissioned and posted as Computer Programmer and was among the first few that relocated to Abuja from Lagos in 1994.

He was part of the team that cut edge for the Commission during the development of Database for the Management of Resources, Payroll and Road Traffic Accidents; an initiative that received accolades from the Federal Government of Nigeria. His stints for humanitarian services aided his unrivalled impacts in this regard among his contemporaries.

His passion for welfare programmes informed his involvement in formation of several Cooperative Societies in FCT and its environs. His ability to display good sense of business acumen, vibrancy and versatility in this direction was facilitated by the encouragement given to the formation of Cooperative Societies in Civil Service including FRSC. Little wonder he was the go-between for the Commission and Cooperative Authorities at the peak of formation of FRSC Staff and Housing Cooperative Societies.
