A political group committed to the actualization of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential mandate, the Asiwaju Progressive Minds Forum (APMF) has confirmed its support of the duo of All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates; Barr Sharafadeen Alli, the Oyo South Senatorial District candidate and Hon Adebowale Adeyoju, the Ibadan North 2 State Constituency candidate.
The confirmation of support was given at a meeting which held in Sango, Ibadan on Saturday at the instance of the APC candidates. The APC team to the meeting was led by Barr Sharafadeen Alli, Hon Adebowale Adeyoju, Alh Omilabu Ghandi, Mr Awobest, Hon Owolabi, Mrs Mosobalaje and Mrs Olorunshogo.
The Chairman of (APMF), Mr Babayemi Adereni urged the APC candidates to execute some projects that will benefit their would-be constituents, which in fact they had been doing. He also advised them never to promise more than they can deliver.
Prayers for the success of Barr Sharafadeen Alli and Hon Adebowale Adeyoju at the forthcoming polls were led by Mr Amao Rasheed, the APMF Secretary. Speaking on behalf of the group, he confirmed support of Barr Alli and Hon Adeyoju, “We are ready to support Barr Sharafadeen and Hon Adeyoju in the forthcoming elections and by God’s grace, you both will win and be elected into office. We only want to encourage you not to forget your electoral promises when you get there”.
In his response, Barr Sharafadeen Alli appreciated the party members who were present at the meeting, particularly Prince Gbadebo, who facilitated the meeting. He urged the Asiwaju Progressive Minds Forum to support and vote all the APC candidates from the federal to the state level, so that there will be no impediments to their enjoyment of the dividends of democracy.
On his part, Hon Adeyoju A. K. A. Stevo expressed his excitement at being in the midst of his would-be constituents. He elaborated on some of the projects he had executed. These include the donation and installation of a 300 KVA transformer to Obasa Community, Ward 10, Ibadan North LG and a 1,500 litres Storex Tank to Agboole Hausa, there in Sango. He promised to do more, when elected, come 2023.
