My attention was drawn to this handiwork of loath bloggers and I just treated it with a smile .
For crying out loud, my relationship with DA dates back to the inception of PDP, cordial and unblemished. Its too strong for anybody making attempts like Chinua Achebe says ” to put out a furnace with his punny fart”, to set wedge between.
I called brother DA pronto when I read the story. He was even in a melancholic mood , not too upbeat to answer calls . Obviously mourning Davido s son’s death , whom he took as his.He called me back immediately and when I tabled my grievances concerning the said blog , his reply was soothing as the breadth of a spring.
He added inreralia that he never authorised any blogger to publish the story that was just a brotherly face book interaction.
He couldn’t hide his surprise that some people could be so ” overzealous “. Truth be told, I have never doubted him and will not start now.
Coming to think of it ,you can only shape or tutor a little mind. Therefore, the word is not applicable here . I advise the said bloggers not to curry sentiments nor play the ball beyond the net any longer.
For the sake of clarity, no fabric is too strong or impenetrable for criticism to a salient mind. Mine is one And that’s more reasons people look at the mirror from different perspectives. What appears like letter “M ” to someone, depending on the ground on which hecis positioned, ” may be “W” to others”. Reflection is the crux of the matter. That’s why there are different schools of thoughts .
DA that I know, is not averse to engaging others of course,he
paves way for opposing comments .
For Balancing which is the tonic of journalism, the unsolicited blogger should have added my own response for the beam balance to be balanced to maintain its neutrality.
It bears emphasis that instead of playing to the gallery by imputing DA s name , without his consent, he should have put his own bye- line ..
A word is enough, but only for the wise . Waiting for the bloggers to be back to the salt mines after this , and throw their barbs directly at me . And they will know ” reasons why hens don’t urinate” .
