he 2023 All Progressive Congress (APC) Oyo South Senatorial District candidate, Barr Sharafadeen Alli has commended Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), Oyo State branch on the declaration of ‘Operation Win Your Unit’, a political strategy aimed at taking the message of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential bid to the grassroots.
The erudite legal practitioner and public administrator, made the statement in Ibadan on Friday at a dinner event organized by TSO, Oyo State branch, “Although I’m still feeling the effects of an 11.3 kilometer walk in Ogbomoso yesterday, I am very glad to be here and I fully subscribe to your ‘Operation Win Your Unit’ strategy of mobilizing for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Since you have decided to reach down to the wards and the markets, let us all go back home and do the real work of reaching the people”
To encourage party faithfuls, Barr Alli assures, “I want to assure you about the reward system in our party. When the time comes to appoint people, we will take names of people known for their efforts, at their home bases, not the names of sycophants and bootlickers. Of course, there’ll be a few exceptions to this rule, but people will be largely rewarded on account of the work they are doing at their various units, wards and local governments. It is our work, I encourage you to work with me, not work for me, so that both of us will look forward to the rewards ahead”
“TSO is blessed to have a record number of people in the APC Presidential Campaign Council, not many of the other support groups have this. Thank you, once again for the opportunity to be here, I want to assure you that whenever you need me, I will be here”, he concluded.
Earlier, in his introduction, the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of TSO, Alhaji Abiodun Ambali, after running through a brief history of the organization, extolled Barr Sharafadeen Alli’s sterling qualities as a grassroot politician and seasoned public administrator, one of whose legacies is proffering solution to the challenge of teachers leave bonus payments in Oyo State, “There are not many politicians who can boast of followers of up to twenty and thirty years, Barr Sharafadeen Alli is one of the few who can. That is because he knows the terrain and he knows how to reward loyalty”.
The TSO event was graced by many other dignitaries including Hon Adeleke Apapa, Hon Bolaji Afeez Repete, Engr Femi Shittu, Hon Asiwaju Folawiyo, Hon Jide Adeyemi, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, Mr Olubunmi Sodipo, to mention a few.
