Oyo Artisans President, Hamzat Kolayode Hosts Southwest Counterparts As Members’ Fortunes, PVCs Collection Prioritised

President of Trade men and Artisans in Oyo State, Alhaji Yisau Kolayode Hamzat said Ibadan meeting of Southwest Leaders of the association was aimed at working towards the members’ fortunes across the geopolitical zone.

Hamzat disclosed this to the crew of naijatodaynew.com shortly after the meeting held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The President stressed that the aims and objectives of the trade men and artisans’ association across the southwest are to ensure that there are no hardship nor unbearable conditions for members.

Adding that the meeting was an historical and memorable one in the life of the association, as the issues regarding the growth of the association and development of members across all levels were unanimously discussed without rancour nor sentiment.

On preparation for 2023 general elections, Hamzat charged every member of association at respective states in the southwest to proceed for the receipt of PVCs which they have registered for.

Justifying that, PVCs are their power which would allow them to vote the leaders of their choice, who will later act as the next president of Nigeria, National Assembly members, state governors and House of Assembly members respectively.

He maintained that, while good leaders are elected, the issues of unemployment, insecurity, hardship, economic hardship and others would be better addressed.

In another vein, Alhaji Nurudeen Buhari, President of Trade men and Artisans in Lagos State thanked counterpart in Oyo State for hosting the maiden meeting, he however charged all members to stand firmly on their feets so as to optimally attain the purpose through which the association was formed.

Buhari enjoined members to desist from identifying with political parties but can only liase with any party which rules in any state, stressing that picking tent with different political parties would easily jeopardise the vision, aims and objectives of the association.

Buhari commended Governor Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos State, who came to their aid via the procurement of bus to ease the transportation of members in the state.

He reiterated on concerted efforts of both leaders and members which he considered germane to the growth and development of the associations in all states.
