Chairman, Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency(OYSROMA), Hon Busoye Ogunlade has hinted that, 5 roads each across the 33 local governments making Oyo State would be rehabilitated in earnest.

OYSROMA Boss stressed that certain amounts of money to be released by Oyo State Government would be judiciously used over rehabilitation and patching of roads that are so crucial for easy movement of motorists and pedestrians in order to improve the state’s economy.
Ogunlade added that, he had got in touch with Oyo ALGON Chairman to instruct all local council chairmen to submit names of 5 roads each in all the 33 council areas which their rehabilitation will progressively contribute to economy and easy movement of people.
He reiterated that some villages would equally benefit from this development, most importantly on areas of roads’ rehabilitation, culverts’ and bridges’ construction in order to ensure fast movement of farm produce to the towns and cities.
Adding that, notable attention would be given to operation zero potholes, which he reiterated that works have begun on some major roads in Mokola, Dugbe and other axis of Ibadan.
He assured that, before NOV/DEC, 2022, Oyo would have become a state that has no single potholes on roads in the cities and other linking roads to the cities.
Aside, Ogunlade said Governor Seyi Makinde’s led administration has laid emphasis on importance of feeder roads, which he reiterated would be alternative to express ways, in case of occurrence of unavoidable happenings which can’t allow the use of the express ways.
On his assumption of office as OYSROMA Chairman, Ogunlade stated that he ensured he inspected all roads in Ibadan and other parts of the state, in order to give them an attention and priority they deserve.
He however called on people to refrain from dumping refuse into gutter while it is raining, maintaining that the act causing the roads’ depreciation and short life span, when water fails to flow via the drainages.
While praising Governor Seyi Makinde, Ogunlade showered encomiums on Makinde for impacting good governance on people of pacesetter state, maintaining that his impacts have been felt on areas of education, health, infrastructures, agric business and others.
On his coming into politics, Ogunlade disclosed that he came into politics with a view to contribute his God’s given ideas towards development and betterment of humanity.
