The Oyo State House of Assembly has announced member representing Lagelu State Constituency, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel Olajide popularly called AKT as the new Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
The announcement was made Thursday at plenary by the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin.
The appointment of AKT followed the demise of Hon Olusegun Ademola Popoola , Ibadan SouthEast 2 on the 12th of July, 2022.
Hon Akintunde was until his new appointment the Chairman, House Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity.
In a chat with newsmen, Hon Akintunde Olajide described the appointment as another call to serve adding that the late Hon Popoola served meritoriously and diligently as the Chairman of the Committee.
