Oyo State house of assembly member Fola Oyekunle popularly known as Don has felicitated with all Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press on Saturday in Ibadan, he said the celebration is a good reminder of the major standpoint of Islam, as a religion of peace.

He then called on the indigene and residents of Oyo state and Nigerians at large to eschew bitterness and continue to pray for a great future for the country.

“I Hon. Fola Oyekunle (DON) warmly felicitates Muslims in Oyo state and all over the country on the occasion of the celebration of Ed-El-Kabir.

It is a good reminder of the major standpoint of Islam, as a religion of peace.

“The celebrations in Nigeria, which cut across all tribes, where Muslims, remind us of our oneness and togetherness as a nation.

It is therefore an opportunity for us to appreciate and celebrate with one another as a people bound in love and peace.

“I equally use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians to eschew bitterness and continue to pray for a great future for our nation.

May the blessing of Allah fill the lives of Oyo state indigenes and residents with peace, joy, and good health.
