Late former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala had been redeployed to the ministry shortly after his then boss, Rashidi Ladoja, was reinstated as governor in 2006 after 11 months outside the state over an impeachment that was later quashed by the Supreme Court.

The Makinde administration, this newspaper understands, had moved Olaniyan’s office to the place few days after announced his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

This newspaper also learnt learnt that the governor has directed the Adebo Ogundoyin led Oyo State Assembly to initiate process to impeach the Igboho-born retired former permanent secretary as his deputy. Though the assembly has apologized to one of its members for erroneously listing his names as one of those who wanted to impeach the deputy, many other lawmakers, who spoke to this newspaper on the condition of anonymity, said it was against their wish.

This newspaper sought to speak with Olaniyan but was not successful. His personal assistant, who promised to get back to this newspaper, has not done so as at the time of publishing this story.
