Member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/ Kajola Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller has congratulated the newly inaugurated Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council, Comrade Moshood Adebisi.
The swearing-in of state vice chairman-elect took place on Wednesday, June 1 where the State Council Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola administered the oath of office on him.
In another vein, Peller said that, Nigerian journalists have a vital role to play, particularly in the Nation’s politics, to stem corruption and boost true federalism for development.
He said journalists as information managers play significant role in information dissemination on the coming elections.
Iseyin-born politician added that the vital role of Journalists will pave way for true democracy in the Nation.
He said he had enjoyed cordial relationship with Journalists, adding that his doors are opened to Media practitioners.
Peller urged journalists to redouble their efforts in the support for true federalism, especially in maintaining the ethics that guard the profession.
In his remarks Chairman, Babalola expressed delight in the synergy and support the union enjoys from the Lawmaker.
He assured the lawmaker and other Politicians of good reportage during the politicking period.
