The Political Head, Iseyin South Local Council Development Area, Oyo State, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola known as ‘FM’ has praised Governor Seyi Makinde on conceptualisation of peaceful consensus arrangement leading to endorsement of candidates for respective political offices at the state and national levels respectively.
FM, while congratulating Makinde on attained success over three(3) years of office, disclosed that Makinde has convincingly and unequivocally taught members of opposition parties how internal democracy works,.as a result of his introduction of peaceful consensus arrangement for attainment of PDP candidates for general elections.
Iseyin-born politician maintained that the idea birthed by Makinde had previously led to fruitful conduct of national convention for the composition of members for party’s National Working Committee(NWC).
Adding that, the Governor had also succeeded in utilizing the concept to arrive at nomination and peaceful endorsement of candidates who are to slug it out with other candidates of opposition parties in elections to be conducted in Oyo State come 2023.
FM lavished encomiums on him for being brain behind the fruitful and perfect conduct of just concluded national convention necessitating the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as PDP presidential candidate.
In another vein, FM congratulated Makinde on his notable record in the last 3 years of office, saying his reign as the helmsman of our dear state has brought many developmental strides which cut across all regions in the state.
According to him, “you’ve redefined governance with your style, your headstrong approach in getting results are timely, that your people now nickenamed you the talk-and-do Governor.
” Our pensioners now have peace of mind, can afford to buy required medications on time and live much longer because you’ve priotized their welfare.
Adding that, “just few weeks ago Civil servants in the State thronged your office in solidarity with you, because they are no longer waiting for months to be paid, nor owe them salary arrears.
He said, “despite the challenges in our economy, you’ve surprised the entire Oyo citizens with many Infrastructural projects you have embarked upon, our State internally generated revenue has increased in the last 3years more than the last decade combined.
“Your management of both human and materials resources at your disposal have given our dear State a direction enviable among other States.
FM however said he had no doubt that the electorate will reward the hard work Governor Makinde has put in place by voting massively for him at the polls come 2023 general elections.
He also called on all stakeholders, party Leaders and candidates to ensure and support prompt reconciliation moves post primary elections, reiterating that this will ensure that everyone will be on the same page heading for the 2023 general elections.
FM maintained that, if all hands are found in one basket with unity, love and togetherness, there is every tendency that PDP candidates will coast home to victory.
