Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji, a former full-time commissioner of the Oyo State Local government and Chieftaincy matters has emerged the candidate of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) to bear the party’s flag in the forthcoming federal House of Representatives’ contest for Iseyin/ Itesiwaju/ Iwajowa/Kajola constituency in 2023 general elections.
O’shine emerged at the party’s primaries held at the Technical College, Iseyin on Sunday, May 22. having pulled overwhelming votes to emerge the winner as announced by the returning officer Barr. Ogunjimi Bamidele
Oyedeji had earlier resigned his appointment as a full-time commissioner in the Oyo state Local government service commission to pursue his Reps’ ambition.
While appreciating the leaders, delegates and members of the party across the federal constitued, Okeho-born politician said ” it is a pleasure today that the party has found me worthy of this great responsibility, it is a responsibility because to whom much is given, much is expected, now we have to go out with full force to win the general election to bring a government with human face to our federal constituency”
He also praised all relevant stakeholders in the party for their support all along and moreover appealed for further support as the main struggle has just begun.
