Ibadan North PDP Primaries: Agba Egbe, Seun Adelore Meet With Aspirants, Sign Peace Accord

Ahead of the Ibadan North Local Government, PDP Primary Election, Aspirants signed a peace accord in Preparation for Saturday’s primary election.

The aspirants signed the peace agreement in Ibadan, the oyo state capital at a meeting with the PDP local government chairman, prince Seun Adelore, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe), Party stakeholders and security personnel.

The aspirants include the those contesting for the state house of assembly, federal House of Representatives respectively.

In his words, the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Yusuff, said, “The main reason for this meeting is for stakeholders to have understanding on the need for a peaceful primary election; it is an opportunity for aspirants to sign an undertaking for a peaceful and transparent exercise.”

He said that security officers drawn from the Police, Military, Civil Defense Corps and the Directorate of State Security would be deployed to ensure the security of lives and properties during the primary election exercise.

It would be recalled that, Agba egbe had warned aspirants and their supporters against violence, and told trouble-makers to stay away from local government council areas where elections would be held.

The aspirants, in joint notes, signed and agreed to a peaceful exercise;

” We, the undersigned State House of Assembly and Federal House of Representative Aspirants from Ibadan North Local Government willingly and without compulsion agreed with the leaders and stakeholder of the Party in Ibadan North Local Government that there will not be violence of any type, harassment of any kind, pandemonium and troubles within and outside the local government as it concerns our aspirations

“We unanimously agreed that any aspirant caught or found guilty of engaging in activities that can undermine the primary elections or cause violence be dealt with in any way found worthy by the leadership of the party in the local government or the State Party Secretariat

“We agreed to inform and encourage our followers to embrace peace, eschew bitter politics and run issue-based campaign before, during and after the primary elections

“We willingly and without compulsion agreed to comply with all dictates, directives and instructions of the party at all levels as it concerns our aspirations

“We unequivocally and generally agreed that we will abide by the results and outcome of the forthcoming primaries, they promised
