I Didn’t Defect To APC, I Only Returned Home — Senator Kola Balogun

Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the red chamber of National Assembly, Senator Kola Balogun has said that he didn’t defect to APC, but only returned to home he had left for a while.

Balogun said this during two-in-one programme in Ibadan yesterday, that unveiled his receipt back to APC and declaration of Senator Teslim Folarin for governorship.

Balogun, younger brother to the Olubadan of Ibadanland stressed he was to correct impression of defection to progressive party, having seen an item on the programme, ” indicating decamping of Senator Kola Balogun”.

Oyo South Senator said that he was only on sabbatical sojourn in PDP and he had gladly come back home that he was part of its structures.

On administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, Balogun slammed Makinde for handling the issue of insecurity with levity hands, stressing that persistent killings and thuggery across Ibadanland and its environs justifies that the governor has no competence to lead.

Adding that, his GRA home is closer to Makinde’s residence, but it is an unfortunate that killings keep occurring in the area despite that the governor is living there.

Not only but also mentioned the killings at Aliwo area of Ibadan’s monarch where three people were killed mercilessly, adding that where insecurity becomes prevalent, means the highest public officer is incapable to lead the place.

On area of Oyo Light up project, Balogun challenged Makinde for powering the project with diesel, saying such gigantic project should not be maintained with diesel while there is dependable alternative solar with better service at affordable rates.

He asked Makinde to disclose the name of company supplying diesel to power the acclaimed light up project.

Balogun however maintained that, such act is equivalent to embezzlement of fund aimed at pleasing one’s interest.
