Despite denial of the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Godwin Emefiele’s interest in presidency come 2023.
His branded campaign vehicles have flooded the social media, while different reactions have continued to trail his alleged procurement of expression of interest, nomination forms and latest happenings among others.
Earlier, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Emefiele, if he fails to abdicate his duty as the Governor of Apex Bank.
Akeredolu’s stance was said to have been in tandem with CBN act and provisions of Nigeria’s constitution which propel Emefiele to resign forthwith provided he has political ambition.
Ondo Governor maintained that the CBN Governor holds the sensitive position that deals with the treasury and economic prosperity of the country, which its occupant should not have anything to do with politics.
In a similar vein, former minister of education, Obiageli Ezekwesili has toed same path of Akeredolu on Emefiele’s purported aspiration for presidency and procurement of presidential forms, stressing that the needful should be done peradventure he has the zeal into the ascendancy of most exalted position in Nigeria.

Maintaining that people would have known where APC presidential candidate would come from, provided they had unveiled the zonal arrangement.
He stressed that, many are confused as presidential aspirants keep obtaining forms at the rate of #100M without knowing whether zoning arrangement would be considered on thrown open.
