Member representing Ibadan South East Constituency 2 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Ademola Popoola has described the death of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III as a great loss that cannot be replaced.
The statement which was made in a condolence message signed by him and made available to naijatodaynew was seen to describe the late monarch as a Father whose experience and wealth of wisdom would be greatly missed.
The Monarch who was pronounced dead late Friday night at the Aafe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State as at the time of his death ruled for 52years making him the longest ruling Aalafin of Oyo.
The lawmaker lamented that being a custodian of culture and traditions of Yoruba race, Alaafin left at a time his usefulness would be more needed.
Hon Popoola further said he will be greatly missed by all.
