Imbibe Spirit Of Love, Selflessness — Ilero Youth Chair, Lekan Ogunkanbi Cheers Christians On Easter Celebration

Chairman, Ilero Youth Progressive Association of Nigeria, Ilero, Iwa Local Council Development Area(LCDA) in Kajola Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Comrade Lekan Ogunkanbi has felicitated the Christians especially residents of the ancient town of Ilero, Christians among the indigenous club and HRM, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka, the Elero of Ileroland on the occasion of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ogunkanbi while congratulating every Christian brother and sister on the commemoration of the resurrection of Christ, urged all to critically reflect on the importance of festive lessons that range from love, hope, piety, selflessness, peace and victory of good over evil.

He further enjoined Christians and other adherents to do their best in ensuring that they pray fervently towards betterment and conduciveness of the residents dwelling in the ancient town, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole irrespective of religious dichotomies, tribes, languages and backgrounds among others.

In his statement, Ogunkanbi who is also an indigene of Ileroland said, “I Felicitate you all especially our christian brothers and sisters who are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ today”.

“As we join the Christians from all over the world to celebrate this revered festival, I urge us all to critically reflect on the significance of its lessons of love, hope, piety, selflessness, peace, victory of good over evil and let this reflection pushes us to do our best to make Nigeria conducive to live for all, irrespective of our differences”.

He further said, “we should use this season to pray for Nigeria, Oyo State and the community in order to attain their betterment and progress among others.

“We should also do our best to fight against corruption, we should fight for Justice, peace and sanctity of life and overcoming evil by sending away bad/evil leaders in Nigeria just as Jesus did with his death and resurrection.

“Once again, I congratulate and rejoice with all the good people of Ilero community and its environs, and I pray that the current celebration will be joyous and the subsequent ones will be accompanied by prosperity and longevity”, Ogunkanbi ended.
