Chairman, Ilero Youth Progressive Association Of Nigeria, Comrade Lekan Ogunkanbi has congratulated Muslims in Ilero, Kajola, Oyo State and across the world for witnessing this year Ramadan.
Ogunkanbi’s message of felicitation was contained in a release he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynew.com
He used the occasion to show felicitation with the Muslims among Ilero Youth progressives, Muslims in the ancient town of Ilero and by extension to the Elero of Ileroland, HRM Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka respectively.
Ogunkanbi advised Muslims to pray fervently against unpleasant phenomenal threatening the unity and oneness of the country.
He urged Muslims to beseech God almighty in prayers for Nigerians and most especially on how peace would permanently return to the country.
The statement reads in part; “I congratulate you on this special commencement of this year Ramadan. I want to advise all Muslims to use this period to pray for return of peace to our dear state, Nigeria, and the entire world respectively”.
“It is a privilege for you and I to witness yet another Ramadan, hence, we want to appreciate God for the opportunity.”
Ogunkanbi further urged Muslims to put into practice the teachings of prophet Muhammad (saw) which is simply for them to be their brothers keeper.
“Since Ramadan fasting symbolises the period of spiritual rejuvenation, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to put into practice the teachings of Prophet Muhammed. Part of such teachings is to be our brother’s keepers and ensure service to humanity”.
“May our prayers during the holy month be answered and may our good deeds be rewarded by Allah”, Ogunkanbi ended.
