The Director General, Oyo State Liaison Office, Abuja and Aspirant into the House of Representatives for Egbeda/Ona Ara Constituency, Hon. Busari Sikiru Olayemi has congratulated Christians in the constituency, Oyo State on auspicious occasion of Easter celebration and however tasked them to use the period to pray for Governor Seyi Makinde’s success and stability of Nigeria.
Olayemi who desires to contest under the platform of people’s Democratic Party(PDP) felicitated them in a release he personally signed and made available to news men in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The Reps’ Hopeful stressed that Easter celebration, unequivocally remains an auspicious moment for Christians and Nigerians as a whole to renew hope, embrace one another and purposefully forge ahead with common purpose, love and unity in diversity .
He showed his rejoice and identification with the Christians on commemoration of the historic travails and ultimate triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He said, “the moment reminds us of everything that Jesus Christ stood for: his unshakable faith in God, undiluted love and sacrifice for humanity, tolerance and forgiving spirit among others”.
Olayemi tasked the Christians and other adherents in the constituency and Oyo State to consider the festive period imperative on offering of prayers for Makinde’s success and stability of peace and unity across the country
He also enjoined them to equally use the festive period to pray fervently against the unpleasant phenomenal threatening the unity, oneness and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians irrespective of tribes, cultures and religions respectively.
Adding that, not only Christians but also adherents of other religions should equally devote time to prayers and embracement of peace and unity which are geared towards the stability of Nigeria.
In his reiteration, he prayed that the current celebration of Easter would be accompanied by joy and the subsequent ones would be attained via longevity and prosperity.
