Aspirant into Green Chamber of the National Assembly, for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye known as ‘Radical Brother’ has declared his legislative aspiration and however unfolded agenda for the constituents.
Olusegun Radical Brother, who would be participating at People’s Democratic Party’s(PDP) primaries slated for May 12, 2022 disclosed his aspiration on Wednesday, April 13, at Salvation Army Primary School, Yemetu, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
At the point of declaration attended by mammoth crowd across the nooks and crannies of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, The House of Reps’ Hopeful sought help of party’s executives and delegates on his emergence at the primarily election that is slated for May 12, 2022.
Olusegun, Radical Brother appealed to delegates and executives not to prioritise monetary inducement but competence, mastery of the task and antecedents that would bring sufficient dividends of democracy to them.
While unfolding his agenda, he disclosed that if given the party’s ticket and wins the general elections, he would ensure he expedites action on possibility of Ibadan North Federal Constituency Estate, while 70% of its budget would be shouldered by him and 30% would be catered by constituents on instalmental basis with no reference to preferential treatment.
He also itemised Ibadan North Federal Constituency Farming Programme and empowerment on human capital development among others.
Olusegun Radical Brother, not only but also pledged to make judicious use of his first salary, first running cost and huge amount of money after 4/6 months at the green chamber to organise first empowerment and fulfilment of promises.
He enjoined delegates to cast his votes for him at the primary election, that he knows the ways and manner through which the current lawmaker, Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban who represents the constituency at the green chamber would be defeated.
He said without doubt that many of APC supporters are clamouring for his emergence at the primaries, that he remains the only person who has the magic to defeat Jagaban.
In their messages of support, Hon. Fatai Adesina and Hon. Bolaji who served in 8th Oyo House of Assembly said Olusegun Radical Brother Remain man of his words, who usually takes to promises make to people.
They described him as a grassroots politician whose antecedents while as a student unionist and lawmaker at Oyo State House of Assembly are obvious to people, maintaining that he would do excellently well, if allowed to fly the ticket and wins general elections.
PDP Chairman, Ibadan Local Government which also serves Federal Constituency, emphasized the needs for conduct of primaries for contending aspirants, maintaining that imposition of candidates is alien to democracy and also in aberration to electoral act as amended.
Chairman stressed that if at all consensus would be considered, it has to be hundred percent(100%) which would be totally supported by all aspirants.
On issue of Ibadan North which contains 12 wards, he disclosed that Governor Seyi Makinde endorsed primary election, having understood that there are thirteen (13) aspirants who have obtained expression of interest and nomination forms.
Chairman said there would be violent free primaries and one would eventually emerge on a free and transparent process that would not give room for defeated aspirants to challenge the election nor defect to other parties.
On Radical’s assessment, Chairman said Ousegun Radical Brother is a grassroots mobiliser and friend who is close to him like that of other aspirants.
