Comptroller Babajide Jaiyeoba, Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command has handed over thirty two(32) compressed wraps of cannabis sativa and the suspect, Ramoni Dauda who allegedly intercepted at Ikire axis along Ibadan/Ife express way to the officials of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) for necessary action.
Jaiyeoba disclosed this while speaking with news men.
According to him, “it is my pleasure to hand over 32 (Thirty-Two) compressed Wraps of Cannabis Sativa and the suspect, one Ramoni Dauda intercepted at Ikire axis along Ibadan/Ife Express way to the NDLEA for necessary action.
“This is to further strengthen the synergy and collaboration between the agencies.
If we find something incriminating while on our statutory duties, we apprehend and hand over to the relevant agencies saddled with such responsibility.
“I want to assure members of the general public that the Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service shall continue to strive to make the country safe for all in line with the Customs & Excise Management Act (CEMA) Cap C45 LFN 2004,” Jaiyeoba ended.
