Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Princess Abeo Justifies Reasons For Makinde’s Reelection

Ibadan was agog yesterday Wednesday 30th of March, 2022 as thousands of market traders, Artisans and canteen Workers trooped out in a solidarity support/endorsement, organized by the Association of the wives of the 33 Local Government Chairmen of Oyo-State in support of the reelection bid of Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The event which began at Mapo Hall and later had a peaceful trek round the Bere-Oja Oba Market.

In her speech, The Iyaloja General of Oyo-State, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo Nurudeen appreciated the Association of the wives of the Local Government Chairmen in the state, people for teaming up to endorse the reelection of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde.

She expressed delight at fact that the market traders, Artisans and canteen Workers in Oyo State are also strongly in support of the reelection of governor Seyi Makinde in 2023.

Princess Folashade Abeo highlighted the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde that impacted the markets in the state.

The light-up has eased our buying and selling at night in our markets. Also Governor Seyi Makinde road network constructed linked the main city of Ibadan to the Oke Ogun area also eased our movements in transporting our goods without any stress or fear of robbery on our way, all these were achieved within 3 years in office of Governor Seyi Makinde led government.

Abeo used the opportunity to appeal to all the wives of the Local Government Chairmen to support their husbands in relating with the markets leader in their various Local Government areas and persuade them with dividends of democracy, so we wouldn’t loose them into the hand of the opposition come 2023.

She said Governor Seyi Makinde has shown so much love to the Market Leaders in the state with the inauguration of the Oyo State market Leaders Council, held last week at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, so it was time for the Market Leaders in the state to appreciate him in return.

She further appreciated the Chairperson of the Association of the wives of the Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Monsurat Sikiru Sanda, Egbeda Local Government Chairperson for initiating the idea which received their support that has spoken an unprecedented message to Oyo State women ahead of 2023.

The executive members of the Market Traders Association in the state and the representatives of the market Leaders from the 33 Local Government among others were in attendance.
