A Political Group, Concerned Youth Vanguard in Oyo State has sounded warning to electorate across Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency to be wary and careful of scammers who are pretending as politicians of note and impeccable character.
CYV’s message of warning and caution was contained in a release signed by the duo of Comrade Wasii Olorunmola and Comrade Timothy Solomon, who are the chairman and secretary of the group in pacesetter state.
The duo stressed that, as 2023 general elections are fast approaching, it becomes important and necessary to warn electorate in respect of endorsement to candidatures of scammers who are camouflaging as true and notable politicians.
Concerned Youth Vanguard maintained that there are many of scammers at home and in the diaspora warming up to represent their constituents in respective political capacities.
They however berated those camouflaged politicians who could not empower the constituents and general electorate long ago, before Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) announced dates for the conduct of general elections slated for 2023.
They added that, it was so painful and disheartening that many of these chameleonic politicians could not find appropriate time aside election period for empowerment aimed at improving the constituents’ standards of living.
They stressed that the current member in the House of Representatives, representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, used this strategy while seeking for votes before 2019 general elections.
The group added that it is painful and disheartening that he can’t identify with his constituents again, having got what he wants from them.
They however called for the sources of their wealth, claiming that those who are not in government empowering the electorate at the tune of multimillion naira.
They hinted that, it is high time the electorate thought and found politicians of impeccable character and patriotism, who would never compromise nor shortchange the benefits which are entrusted to them.
Adding that, many of them have dominated and flaunted the political spaces now, with promises that can never be fulfilled while their political aspiration eventually scales through.
They however warned them to be wary and careful of Greek gifts that would eventually birth famine and starvation in their respective constituencies.
Concerned Youth Vanguard promised that their task on attainment of good governance would not be limited to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Reiterating that the nooks and crannies of the state would be visiting in order to enlighten and orientate electorate on how they should choose the public office holders of trust and impeccable character.
