Oyo: Iseyin South LCDA Political Head, FM Receives Merit Award As Over 50 Years’ Abandoned Yekete Road Fixed

With a view to appreciating the Political Head, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Oyo State, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola(FM) in respect of his outstanding performances, Ifelodun Social Club, Oja-Agbe Iseyin has conferred an award of merit on him.

The epoch making occasion of award presentation took place at the seat of Iseyin South LCDA, Molete/Koso of the ancient town.

An award of excellence was in recognition of his strong efforts, performance and success of the society among others.

This development was witnessed by executives, members of Ifelodun Social Club and PDP stakeholders in Iseyin Local Government.

In another vein, FM has made another landmark by fixing yekete road, in Ilupeju community, which they claimed has been abandoned for over fifty(50) years.

The said yekete road became motorable as a result of cutting, leveling and expansion for both motorists and pedestrians.

While showing their appreciation, the community leaders in the axis lavished encomiums on FM for making their hardship and stress became things of the past.

In his eulogy, Engr. Samuel Ibikunle disclosed that FM has made unprecedented achievements and history for fixing the deteriorated road, which many previous governments had jettisoned.

Ibikunle maintained that Iseyin South LCDA Political Head had sincerely brought relief to the dwellers and residents of the community who ply the road on daily basis.

In his own remark, Azeez Kabeer said that Yekete road had been abandoned since 1970, while no government makes attempt to make it motorable until FM made determined move.

Kabeer commended FM for being a leader of his words, who usually prioritises the affairs that concern the wellbeing of the masses, praying God to continue guiding him alright in his endeavours.

Another community leader, Fatai Fagbure maintained that the road in its deplorable condition had led to death of people, while many had sustained various degrees of injuries.

Fagbure showed his appreciation to FM for his proactiveness and quick response to cutting, leveling and expansion that made the road motorable, calling on FM to continue doing his best, that people regardless of political affiliations keep praying for him.

In his own response, FM appreciated them for coming enmass to show appreciation, despite the fact that they have booked appointment in the past but it could not hold then as a result of administrative engagements.

FM reiterated that the privilege of his being in the office necessitated the possibility of the task and he thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for making him useful for people around him and those in the community, pledging that he would continue doing what would bring relief to the masses.

To continue witnessing good governance, FM charged people to have their Permanent Voters’ Cards(PVCs) in order to return Seyi Makinde for second term.

FM however thanked a physically challenged man, Mr Bamikunle Rasaq Tunde on his occasion of official visit to the school for the special needs and presentation of gifts to students with disabilities.

FM described Tunde as a man with large heart despite his disability, maintaining that Tunde remains a man of his impeccable character and integrity, whose aspiration to represent Oyo North Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly should be supported.
