Popular Yoruba Film Actor, Ojopagogo Substantiates Reasons For Production Of Latest ” Akanke Oba”

The renowned Yoruba film actor, Rasaq Olayiwola who is popularly known as “Ojopagogo” has substantiated reasons behind his latest production of “Akanke Oba film”.

Ojopagogo in an interaction with the crew of naijatodaynew.com expatiated that the latest “Akanke Oba” is a pure Yoruba cultural film that depicts how a lady wielded much power as an interim monarch.

Ojopagogo stressed that Akanke was an humble, respectful and submissive lady before she ascended the throne of her forefathers on interim basis before the coronation of man monarch from another royal family.

He added that the lady monarch turned to be autocratic, dictatorial and despotic in her decisions which in adverse brings lack of peace, unity, progress and prevalence of violence in the community.

Ojopagogo maintained that, it was Akanke’s humility, good character and like by the subjects that warranted her ascension into the throne, shortly after the demise of her late fatherly monarch.

He however explained the negative implications and aberration of making woman monarch in Yoruba land that cherishes the supremacy of cultures, norms and traditions among other values.

Ojopagogo disclosed that it is a Yoruba film that teaches and elevates Yoruba language, cultures, norms and other cherished values in the land.

He enjoined people to give it a trial by watching and learn how use of Yoruba language was strictly prioritised.
