Aspirant into Oyo State House of Assembly, for Kajola State Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Ajumobi has said that he would ensure he works on participatory approach in order to cement mutual and cordial relationship with the constituents.
Ajumobi who desires to vie for ticket and contest under the platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in 2023, in a statement he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynew.com reiterated his commitment to participatory approach, so as to give everybody a sense of belonging.
Okeho-born aspirant stressed that, if he is eventually secured the ticket and win the State House of Assembly’s election, he would ensure working and functional relationship with the constituents, for identification of their respective challenges and betterment of lives.
While justifying the significance of constituents, Ajumobi maintained that they are the strong pillars upon which the lawmaker’s emergence and participation in the house are erected.
The Assembly Hopeful added that the constituents are the eligible electorate who give mandate to any lawmaker of their choice and it becomes important to give back to them, at the end of electoral exercise.
Ajumobi, said that once election is done and dusted, it is incumbent on the lawmaker to maintain close rapport, mutual understanding and cordial relationship that would afford him/her the privilege of identifying where the shoe pinches the constituents.
He said, while close relationship is maintained with them, there is every tendency and assurance that their problems and challenges would be easily known.
He said, when aspiration becomes feasible as he prays to God Almighty and appeals to people for support, he would give the constituents the needed attention that would culminate in making them having access to what is done and what would be done at the hallow chamber.
Ajumobi promised to concentrate on core tasks of a parliamentarian, and by extension ensures he collaborates with the executive in order to facilitate goodies and overall dividends of democracy to the constituency.
