REACTION: Oyo Deputy Speaker Counters Allegations, Justifies His Representation In Oyo House of Assembly, Debunks Rumour of Automatic Ticket From Makinde

The Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammed Fadeyi has countered the smear campaign and allegations of poor representation raised by the constituents of OnaAra State Constituency and published by naijatodaynews.com.ng

Fadeyi on reaction to the news story published by the online news medium, substantiated that the smear campaign, conspiracy and frivolous allegations about his person and representation were vehemently far from the truth.

Oyo Deputy Speaker maintained that, by the glory of God, he remains the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, while the OnaAra State Constituency office given to him remains the most visited and friendly place in the 9th Assembly, stressing that his office is open to every member of the constituency and beyond, that almost 20 visitors have their visitation and attendance daily.

On area of the dividends of democracy, Fadeyi disclosed that his primary responsibility is to make laws and by extension works in tandem with the executive arm of government on how the succour and welfare would be facilitated to the constituents.

Oyo Deputy Speaker added that he had been doing all best of his to ensure countless financial assistance to the constituents, 150 women empowerments, employment to youths, 30 teaching jobs, and 24 teachers whose salaries were hanged eventually got paid.

In furtherance, he spoke extensively on how far he has gone on area of infrastructures, which his collaboration with Governor Seyi Makinde had necessitated.

He stated that the motion he moved in 2019 had assisted the reconstruction of OnaAra-Tioya bridge, 2022 budget would equally cater for some projects in the constituency, while Olorunsogo-Dagbolu would wear a new outlook in terms of expansion.

Fadeyi was specific about about the issue of land grabbers, stressing that he had moved a motion necessitating the curtailment of the dubious and nefarious activities in the pacesetter state.

Adding that he had equally frown at open defecation in Oyo state, which his ceaseless struggles had enhanced the sponsorship of bill on eradication of open defecation.

In another vein, he maintained that people have misconception about his ” Ojuawo Magazine”, explaining that the magazine is meant to showcase his sojourn in politics and current engagement at Oyo State House of Assembly.

Fadeyi reiterated that he is visible to his constituents and he is more committed to reciprocation of gestures in respect of their representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

He however debunked the rumours of automatic second term ticket, which some people claimed that Governor Seyi Makinde has given to him and some other PDP lawmakers, substantiating that Governor has neither promised nor approved any PDP lawmaker’s second term ticket.
