Constituents in OnaAra State Constituency, Ibadan, Oyo State have enjoined Governor Seyi Makinde to rescind decision of conceding 2nd term ticket to the lawmaker representing the constituency and the Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Fadeyi Muhammed, justifying that his reelection would be disastrous and dangerous for PDP and the state constituency.
The constituents under anonymity, maintained their position in a release signed and made available to news men.
According to them, “It is unfortunate that despite his failure in his Constituency. We heard that he has been gloriously penned down for 2nd term by Gov. Makinde; not minding whose ox is gored. Hon. Fadeyi has failed outrightly on his policies, especially through sharing of dividends of Democracy in the Zones and Wards. Even, he is unpopular in Ward 8 which he claims”.
” Councillor Ette commands respect more than him. Recently, he conceived an agenda that those the govt. has favoured should start paying 10%. We know his antecedents quite alright before, during and after”.
” There are eleven wards in Ona; he barely touched ward 05, Ward 07, ward 10 and ward 11. Neglecting seven wards. Because Zone 03 in ward 07 i.e Abonde Community receives 20 bags of cement; neglecting Zone01, Zone 02, Zone 04 and Zone 05 totally, and claiming achievements in ward 07 which does not augur well”.
“There are failures in his distributions of palliative and failures in reaching out to people in the grassroots. He published a Magazine titled ‘OJUAWO’. It reveals his failure, incompetence and unpopularity.
“Hon. representing Ona Ara has failed on most of his promises. Importantly, we learnt that the Gov. Makinde has decided to allow him run for 2nd term, which people murmured to be ‘The Omi- Tuntun, espirit de Corp agenda; which doesn’t beautify Democracy. Gov. Makinde should allow the People of Ona Ara to look for a change in another candidate.
Instead of imposing an unpopular person for 2nd term.
