Makinde Remains Pioneer of National Inclusive Programs _ Timothy Olufemi, Aide On People

The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on people with special needs, Hon. Timothy Olufemi Sunday has described Makinde as the pioneer of national inclusive programs.

According to him, “beyond politics, Governor Seyi Makinde shows that he truly cares for persons with Disabilities. The fact that most of his kind gestures are away from the preying eyes of the press is just because he is not after cheap media hullabaloo.

Many people who are supposed to be on the streets begging were empowered from his personal purse, all the Disability cluster heads can testify to this yet, he was not satisfied, he created avenues for qualified PWDs to be gainfully employed in the Oyo state civil service, that they may pursue their careers.

I challenge the worst critics to come up with any state in Nigeria, where persons with Disabilities are represented at every level in the state.

Oyo state has an executive assistant to the governor on Disability Matters, and Special Assistant to the governor on Special Needs, both at state level, and supervisory councillors in all the 33 local Governments in the State, the very first in the history of Nigeria.

Special consideration for PWDs for employment at hospital management board and teaching jobs, to suitable PWDs, with several empowerment facilities extended to our people.

Obviously, GSM is making history in many ways beyond imagination of critics, and I see seeds he’s sowing among the PWDs to become a massive force in the near future, just like Awo free education beneficiaries changed the Fortune of south West Nigeria.

In the light of GSM’s large heart towards person with Disabilities, it’s not out of point to believe His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde will consider intelligent, suitable, qualified, and PWDs for elective offices come 2023.

GSM’s vision is fast robbing off on many members of his cabinet, no Wonder, Hon. Samuel Adejumobi, Aka Agbarapo, believes PWDs can make the final list of federal honorable and state honorables come 2023.

PWDs are no longer downtrodden in Oyo state, thanks to GSM who is challenging the narratives, and we are hopeful, he will set another Standard that no one as ever done by considering some PWDs for elective posts in the next generation elections.

We have members that met all the requirements to hold elective political offices, both state and national levels.

Our people are intelligent, smart, educated, even to the postgraduate levels and and sound to contribute to delicate and serious issues.

As a friend to the house, we hope special assistant to the governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Samuel Adejumobi
Aka Agbarapo, can testify to the fact that our PWDs are ripe enough to be at Apex of decision making.
