The Chairman Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Dayo Ogungbenro, has congratulated the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde on his 54th birthday.
Ogungbenro in a statement issued in Saki on Saturday to mark the birthday of the governor, described Makinde as a revered leader, statesman, philanthropist, and a pillar for everybody in Oyo, Southwest and Nigeria politics as far as governance is concerned.
The former caretaker zonal Chairman of the PDP in the Southwest added that Makinde’s contribution to the socio-political and economic development of the Oyo and the Southwest over the years was worthy of commendation.
He referred to Makinde as ‘Golden Governor’ of the state as a detribalized statesman, who transformed many persons irrespective of tribe, religion or creed. His words:
“Makinde’s leadership qualities and strength of character are worthy of emulation to all.
May Almighty God sustain and continue to grant you good health in the coming years as I join PDP family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to celebrate your birthday sir,” Ogungbenro concluded.
