Oyo Businesses Thrive In Your Administration — Ilaji Resort Boss, Sanusi Greets Makinde At 54

Spread the love

On the occasion of the 54th birthday celebration of Governor Seyi Makinde, the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Resort and Game Village, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, has said that the governor is creating avenues for businesses to thrive.

Sanusi, who is the Otun Apesinola of Ibadanland, in a congratulatory message, said that all lovers of development should applaud Makinde for what he has done in the areas of creating conducive atmosphere for investors to come to the state.

According to Sanusi, “I want to use Governor Seyi Makinde’s birthday to reveal some of the things he has done. I am not a politician and so I am not one to be frivolous with words. Yes, I am a businessman and one of the things that makes business thrives is conducive environment. Before now, we know how much to make the Olorunsogo-Akanran road passable for residents and tourists. So, we cannot but be happy when Governor Seyi Makinde graciously approved the road for reconstruction.

“When completed, we know what it means for that area. We as an organization have succeeded in opening up the area but whatever we do is minute to what constituted authorities can do. Our business is one of the few that generates huge employment for the state. The reconstruction of the road will make us recruit more, thereby putting smiles of many families. We know of some investors who couldn’t take the risk we took. Apart from partnering with a government agency to get the road in shape, we erected hundreds of electricity poles to bring light to this area. The completion of the road will not only open up Ibadan, it will boost the internally generated revenue of the state.

”Another area people are not commenting on is the issue of agriculture. I think the governor, being a business owner, saw what we saw too. He understands that Okeogun is the food basket of the state and it the needed amenities are put in place, the state’s IGR will be boosted, employment will be generated and insecurity will reduce. The construction and reconstruction of roads leading to Okeogun tells a lot. Oyo has been linked to Iseyin, the gateway to Okeogun just like Ibadan-Iseyin has been completed. The Ogbomoso-Iseyin road is almost taking off. So, investors, I know, are trooping to that axis to get lands and invest. The gains may not be immediate but it will surely come and we will have him to thank.

”So, I want to join others to celebrate him as he celebrates his birthday. God will continue to lead him aright. Happy birthday Mr. Governor,” the Ibadan Mogaji said.

Sanusi, who is also into real estate, also used the medium to greet Christians as they celebrate Christmas.

Urging them to remember their neighbors and the needy, he urged government at all levels to work on policies to alleviate poverty among the masses.
