The Chairman Senate Committee on Local Content and lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin has sent his condolences to the people of the ancient town of Igangan and Ibarapa land over the demise of Oba Lasisi Adeoye Lawuyi Aribiyan (Asigangan of Igangan).
The royal father was reported to have joined his ancestors on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Senator Folarin, in a condolence message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja, described the departed monarch was loved by his people and paid huge sacrifices to protect Ibarapa land from bandits.
“Oba Lasisi Adeoye’s death is very unfortunate but God Giveth and Taketh! Kabiyesi did not only fight to protect his subjects but also paid huge sacrifices to protect Ibarapa land”
“He was dedicated and pragmatic in discharging his duties to his community. He will be sorely missed by the people of Igangan and Ibarapa land”.
“I condole with Asigangan royal families and Yoruba traditional council for losing such a dependable and brave royal father”.
“It is on record that the late monarch did his best for his people. I pray that God Grant Igangan kingdom and the good people of Ibarapa the fortitude to bear the great loss”, the statement read.
