Oyo NUJ Gets 25 Foreign Medical Experts To Screen 1,200 Journalists’ Eyes, Dental Care Needs

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council has secured the partnership of about 25 Nigerians who are America-based medical personnel to screen and treat for free 1,200 Journalists in the State.

A statement issued on Saturday in Ibadan by the Secretary of the Union, Comrade Sola Oladapo quoted the Chairman, Ademola Babalola charging all Journalists in the State to afford themselves of the opportunities of free eye screening, eye glasses, dental care and other medical supports that can make them whole in the year 2022 and beyond.

The NUJ Chairman said “securing medical care for 1,200 journalists including Sports Writers, Women Journalists and the League of Veteran Journalists was a great experience and unprecedented in the annals of Oyo NUJ.

Babalola thanked the facilitator, Mrs. Oluwakemi Ajayi, the team leader of the medical personnel, Dr. Oluwole Ajagbe and others for believing in his leadership.

Babalola said appealed to all journalists to make the best use of the three-day exercise which commences on Monday at the Press Centre, Iyaganku GRA Ibadan by 9am.
