Assembly Hopeful, Rotimi Ajumobi Reiterates Importance Of Better Representation

People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Aspirant into Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Ajumobi has said better representation by a good and experienced lawmaker will truly culminate in facilitation of goodies to the constituents.

Ajumobi while speaking on importance of notable representation disclosed that, the constituents would only feel the positive impacts of a lawmaker, while he/she absolutely knows what the concept of legislation is all about.

Assembly Hopeful who aspires to represent Kajola State Constituency, elucidated that the constituents would greatly have access to goodies and sufficient dividends of democracy, provided the parliamentarian has better knowledge, firm mastery and understanding of legislation, oversight functions and representation respectively.

Okeho born politician substantiated that the key and primary roles of a lawmaker revolve around the above mentioned ones, stressing that the better results would be given to the constituents, while the rules of engagement are sufficiently understood by the constituents’ ambassador.

He said the lawmaker’s ability, willingness and readiness to participate actively in legislation, oversight functions and better representation over the demands and requests of the constituents would definitely facilitate desirable results.

Ajumobi however stressed that separation of power has distinctly differentiated between the executive and legislative powers, reiterating that lawmaker can’t carry out the executive functions but can make motions and bills on what the executive should implement.

He said better results which are centred on quality education, infrastructures, health, agric business and others can’t be attained, while the lawmaker is not versatile, competent, legislatively oriented and dynamic to do the job.

Ajumobi disclosed that the constituents who usually give mandate at any electoral dispensation, deserve to be treated fairly and justly. Saying the patience endure to stay under the scorching sun, long hours’ standing on a queue and resolve to vote for candidates of choice should bring benefits to relieve them from the endured pains.

He said the hallow chamber is not a relaxation centre, but a notable place where the demands and requests of the constituents would be tabled before other parliamentarians for collective approval.

He reiterated that the mastery of legislation, understanding of house language and readiness to grasp the rules of engagement will enhance better results to the constituents.
