Former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Electoral Bill before him into law.
The former Governor who was also a former Member and Speaker House of Representatives made this statement while paying a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde said that the president should sign the bill into law and that if there are observations, an amendment can be forwarded to the leadership of the national assembly after due consultation.
He said, “I will advise the president to sign the bill into law and if there are observations, we can send forward an amendment after due consultation with the Leadership of the national assembly so that we don’t go into flexing of muscles”.
“So first sign, and come forth with amendment and then carry Nigerians along. I’m sure it will be a win win situation for everyone”, Ihedioha said.
Emeka Ihedioha who commiserated with the people of Oyo State on the demise of Soun of Ogbomosho prayed for the peaceful repose of the Monarch while also advised the residents to continue to live in harmony as these “are trying times for us as a nation and we must be tolerant and thankful to God while also praying that 2022 usher in a pandemic free year”.
