Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola (De-Damak) hosted The League of Imams of Ondo and Ekiti States, in the presence of Senator Rilwan Adesoji Adekanbi, The Okanlomo of Ibadan Land, on Thursday, November 11.
Condolence: Chief Imams, Soji Akanbi, Others Visit Aare Musulumi over Wife’s Demise.
Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola popularly known as “De-Damak” has hosted The League of Imams of Ondo and Ekiti States, in the presence of Senator Rilwan Adesoji Adekanbi, The Okanlomo of Ibadan Land, on Thursday, November 11, at his residence in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo-State.
The scholars paid condolence visits to the Aare Musulumi over the demise of His Wife, Alhaja Halimat Akinola, who passed on and buried recently, according to Islamic rites.
In their joint remarks, the Imams stated that,”‘Inna lillahi, wa inna ilayhi raji’un’.
From Allah we came and unto Him is our return. We received with shock, news of the demise of your dear Wife, Alhaja Halimat Akinola, whose remain was committed to the mother earth on Wednesday 27th October, 2021.
“We’re here, today, to commiserate with Your Eminence, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola and we pray to Almighty Allah Subhana Huwa Taala to console you and your entire family.
“We, aslo, pray that Allah (SWT) repose her soul in the best Barzakh and ultimately grant her Jannatul-Firdaws, Aamin. Once again, please accept our condolence”, they submitted.
While responding, the Aare Muslim, Alhaji Daud Akinola thanked the Imams for their visits, supports and prayers.” Jazakum Lau Kaeran, for always being there for me and entire Muslims”,he said.
In his own remarks, too, the immediate past Senator of Oyo South District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi lauded the clerics for their immense contributions to the developments of Islam in their respective states. He appreciated their condolence visits on behalf of Aare Musulumi and prayed that may Allah grant him fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
