After Naija TODAY News Video, Lagos Govt Reacts To Video Showing School Conducting Assembly in Pool

Lagos State Government has reacted to a video of a school where Assembly is being conducted in a pool of water.

The video which has gone viral since it was posted by Naija Today News shows a school which the Lagos Government says it is a low cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State.

According to a statement released by the Honourable Commissioner of Education, Lagos State
“The Name of the school is MAWUMADOKA ORPHANS AND LESS PRIVILEGE HOME/SCHOOL”

“The school is located beside CCC oko-Agbon2, Oko-Agbon water front, Iwaya road, Yaba Lagos Nigeria.

“The school assembly which goes viral on social media is a low cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State.

“The video was taken some months ago by a church that wanted to use the video to raise funds for the school. The building has been demolished and is being built.

“Lagos State authorities are sending officials there on Monday to ascertain level of progress. Thanks for your concerns, the statement reads.
