Why Dele Akinleye Is Most Qualified To Replace Oke As Oyo State APC Chairman – Group

Progressives Vanguard, a group within Oyo State All Progressives Congress(APC) has substantiated and justified the reasons that make Hon. Dele Akinleye the most suitable and qualified person to replace Elder Akin Oke as the next chairman of the Pacesetter’s progressive party.

Akinleye’s justification of suitability for the chairmanship position was contained in a release issued and signed by the Progressives Vanguard’s Chairman and Secretary, in persons of Hon. Kehinde Akanni and Mrs Alabi Kemi respectively.

The duo justified and substantiated that Akinleye remains a genuine progressive and committed party who has never done nor acted contrary against the constitution, norms and culture of the progressive party.

They disclosed that the 53-year-old man who hails from Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government, OkeOgun axis of the state is well read and politically exposed.

Academically, Progressives Vanguard expatiated that Akinleye’s academic qualifications had no doubt qualified him to ascend the position, as he had his ND and HND in Marketing at the Polytechnic Ibadan and Masters Degree in Managerial Psychology at University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

They corroborated that his education, exposure and political experience had ensured his diligent service as the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun from 1999 to 2003.

They reiterated that he was once a Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Political Matters to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Akinleye was also Secretary, Alliance for Democracy(AD), AD Secretary Saki West and was the State Secretary AC/ACN.

He was described as a professional in politics, highly charismatic, organized, intelligent, decent, experienced and God fearing.

They stated the positions of the majority of the leaders and youths who are clamouring for a clear change from the
past.

They said,” the sing song in APC now is why should we move from a great grand father Baba Akin Oke to another great grand father Baba Abu Gbadamosi”.

Reiterating that he is more qualified than his strongest opponent, an 83-year-old Baba Gbadamosi from OkeOgun 1 where the position is zoned to.

They enjoined the party members and the delegates to prioritize energetic youth who has deep experience and can possibly expand the membership base for the position
